BMR Launches

The inaugural edition of Black Market Review is live and is dedicated to Lisa Ratcliffe.  Black Market Review is edited exclusively by Edge Hill University (EHU) creative writing students. It features the short story ‘Las Cartas’ by Lisa Ratcliffe with an introduction from Andrew Oldham. Robert Sheppard remembers Lisa in ‘Write Everything Down’. BMR features poetry from Rupert Loydell, David Toms, Jacqui Dunne, Steve Ely, Don Nixon and fiction from Max Dunbar and Trevor Williams. You can submit to the magazine between September 1 to December 1 each year. Submission Guidelines can be found here.

    Wow, another literary magazine with “review” in the title run by graduate students — let me run right out and enjoy the careful fiction — and wait, careful poetry too!
