Poetry: modern classics

The usual names crop up here, and they are great names and deserve to widely read. Duffy and Armitage are amongst our favourites. We note with interest that in the blog responses someone mentions Andrew alongside some great young poets and then another person wades in:

‘Who else, Andrew Oldham, more Ron Silliman playing it straight as some brief blip on the measuring control crowd’s fame-radar – ranking into mate of mate of mate and/or wierdos channeling their mental illness into a notoriously mad, mad, crazee and predictable yawn-a-thonic do, mate.’

You can’t buy publicity like this! Though we wonder if this guy actually knows who Andrew is?
