Journalism: Andrew Oldham

Andrew Oldham was the managing editor and contributor to Incorporating Writing from 2004-2010.  His non-fiction work has appeared in broadcast (BBC Radio’s Allan Beswick Show and the BBC1 programme The Politics Show) and in print (Aesthetica, Flux, Grow Your Own, The Guardian, The London Magazine, The View From Here, Manchester Evening News and the Bolton Evening News). During the mid-90s he was a food and music critic for Big Issue in the North.

Andrew’s non-fiction work has taken him around the country to book and comedy festivals to interview the likes of Bill Bailey, Joolz Denby, Hilary Mantel and John Hegley. During the mid- 90s, Andrew was a regular contributor to BBC Cultural and Entertainment radio programmes in Manchester. He has been a regular contributor to Literary Festivals and events across the UK for the last 15 years. He has been a speaker on publishing panels at the Ilkley Literature Festival and the Short Story Festival at Edge Hill University 2006.

He continues to publish articles on UK publishing, SF and columns on anything that irritates him. His non-fiction work can be found in such books as,  The Short Story edited by Ailsa Cox (pictured).
